The Engine

We can tailor our service to suit your event or gathering. The Coffee Engine provides a quirky and distinctive alternative to the white burger and chip trailers normally associated with outside event catering.

Our 1955 Bedford B series water tender creates a stir and talking point wherever it goes and brings added value and character to any setting as well as having the ability to be a characterful centre piece to a range of gatherings.

It has been specially re-designed and rebuilt in a sympathetic way. It's new purpose means that the vehicle has the capacity to cope with supplying high quality coffee and tea to thousands of people at large scale events, as well as ensuring that it meets all legislative criteria. Despite it's new use, it retains it's character from it's past life, complete with the odd scratch and dent, underlining that it was once a fully operational fire tender, playing a crucial role within the Fire Brigade.

The Engine served in the Hertfordshire Fire Service up until its retirement from service in the 1970's. Now it has been brought back to life to fulfil its new purpose, ensuring that its future as a rare yet working commercial vehicle is safeguarded as well as bringing a smile to the faces of children young and old!
